I needed something more powerful for running VMs, it turns out the N100 boxes just don't have enough CPU cores to practically do k8s workloads.
I picked the Beelink EQR7 system because it's got solid specs at a reasonable pricepoint, and FFS it has a builtin PSU. I'm so sick of external power bricks, they're a false saving to have a "mini" desktop box.

Build notes
Proxmox annoyingly doesn't have PXE-boot installation options, you have to use a USB stick. Which isn't the worst, but still annoying. At least I won't be doing this often.
Prepare network
- Connect 1st NIC to ether1 on hoshino, she needs that spot on the top shelf in the rack, so she gets persica1's network port
Prepare a DHCP lease on hoshino
/ip dhcp-server lease add address=192.168.53.12 comment=nozomi mac-address=78:55:36:0C:D9:AF server=infra
OS imaging
- Put Proxmox ISO on a USB stick
- Boot nozomi from USB
- Run the installer with basically default settings, use whole disk, etc
What do we want to even install here anyway?
Make fabiola here for a start, give her lots of CPU and RAM. That'll be my webserver for replacing roberta at Vultr.
