We know we already like the Silver mattress, it has 1.8/2.0/1.8 gauge springs in its three zones.
- Gold has 1.8/2.0/1.8/2.0/1.8 gauge in five zones, sounds good
- Adds edge support which I think is a good feature
- Adds a pillow top
- Quilting layer changes from foam, to foam+fibre
Alternatives also at Sleeping Giant
$1100 A&S Platinum: like a Gold Plus but with funky high and low springs alternating instead of zoned, and 30% more springs too, Tencel fibre instead of bamboo
- $900 Dreamsuite 5: 5 zone, maybe firmer springs (2.0/2.1 gauge?), memory foam in pillow top?
- $1100 Dreamsuit 7: 7 zone, no further details
Disposal
Our apartment block doesn't offer the disposal service any more, but there are alternatives.
$55 for takeaway and recycling, available every Tuesday: https://softlanding.com.au/bookings-sydney/
- Blacktown council also has pickup services, looks like you can book ad-hoc
