Fuel estimates
We're driving about 9250km per year, which equates to 770km per month, and spending about $150/mon at the moment. We're filling about 73L per month.
That gives an average mileage of about 9.45L per 100km, sounds roughly correct. The averaged petrol price is $2.00/L, but it definitely goes up and down around that number. This gives us a distance-cost of 18.9c per km.
Assume it's shitty and add 10% to that, for $2.20/L averaged. Thanks Trump, thanks for the war in the middle east.
- $165/mon for petrol
- 20.8c per km
Assume it gets REALLY shit and petrol goes to $2.50/L on average.
- $188/mon for petrol
- 23.6c per km
Anyway for now we budget $150/mon for petrol.
Servicing pricing
This is a fixed-cost deal with a nice schedule of expected servicing costs.
Assume we drive about 10,000km per year, and service yearly, which is extremely neat.

The average over 10 years is about $440 per service, plus any extra expenses for labour or things that need replacing. Call it $500 to be sure.
